Quantum Computing Researcher

The Quantum Computing team at Moody's Analytics is committed to exploring the potential of quantum computing and communication solutions within the financial industry.

Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative solutions for internal project teams, leveraging your expertise in quantum computing.
  • Design and implement novel Quantum Algorithms tailored for specific applications within finance.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other teams on best practices and advanced techniques related to quantum computing.
  • Collaborate with partners to create impactful solutions and use cases, pushing the boundaries of quantum technology in finance.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by writing white papers and maintaining relationships with academic and business communities.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and competitor advancements to drive innovation within the team.
  • Present research findings both internally and externally, sharing your insights with a wider audience.
  • Work closely with other Machine Learning groups within Moody's to explore hybrid solutions that combine classical and quantum computing approaches.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct statistical analysis on financial and climate data, applying your analytical skills to real-world problems.
  • Contribute to predictive analytics and conceptual modeling, leveraging your understanding of both quantum computing and finance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, scientific computing tools, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with quantum computing algorithms and Machine Learning/AI algorithms.
  • Familiarity with Tensor Network based numerical simulation methods is a plus.
  • A self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn, contribute, and produce impactful results.
  • High level of professionalism and research ability.
