Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administration Officer to join our team at Kent County Council. As a key member of our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Childrens Service, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our Centres and supporting the transfer of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to other local authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day functioning of the Centres, taking a proactive role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
  • Support the transfer of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to other local authorities, ensuring a safe and timely process.
  • Provide administrative support to our team, including responding to requests for support and passing on information to the most appropriate service.
  • Supervise staff and deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced office environment, requiring excellent IT and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Excellent IT and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence in dealing with professionals and members of the public on the telephone.
  • Ability to supervise staff and deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Good eye for detail and ability to work under pressure.
