Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administration Officer to join our team at Kent County Council. As a key member of our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Childrens Service, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our Centres and supporting the transfer of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children to other local authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day functioning of the Centres, taking a proactive role in ensuring the smooth transfer of children to other local authorities.
  • Respond to requests for support at an intensive level or above, ensuring that these are passed on to the most appropriate service for ongoing support and intervention.
  • Supervise staff and deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Utilize excellent IT and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Requirements

This role requires a strong command of spoken English and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will also be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
