Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Administration Officer to join our team at Kent County Council. This is a challenging and varied role that requires excellent IT and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring the smooth running of the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Childrens Service (UAS) centres, taking a proactive role in their day-to-day functioning.
- Support the team in receiving and responding to requests for support at an intensive level or above, ensuring that these are passed on to the most appropriate service for ongoing support and intervention.
- Supervise staff and deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Work closely with professionals and members of the public on the telephone, using excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Excellent IT and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced office environment.
- Confidence in dealing with professionals and members of the public on the telephone.
- Supervisory experience and ability to manage staff.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
