Job Title: Bus Technician

Job Summary:

Arriva Bus is seeking a skilled Bus Technician to join our team. As a Bus Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated London buses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including servicing, inspections, and repairs to ensure vehicles meet Arriva's high standards.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring vehicle reliability.
  • Participate in quality control checks to ensure vehicles meet Arriva's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in PSV/HGV/Light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent international qualification).
  • At least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/Light vehicles (or equivalent experience in a related field).
  • A full UK driving license with 6 points or less.
  • Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
