Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to join our team in a permanent position at Tish, overseeing restaurant operations in Belsize Park.

As Senior Sous Chef Sunday to Thursday, you will provide guidance to junior kitchen staff, ensure food quality and safety, and work with the head chef to maintain kitchen organization.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Guiding junior staff on line cooking, food preparation, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
• Maintaining a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifying food products for quality assurance.
• Ensuring cooking stations are stocked and training new kitchen employees to restaurant standards.
• Managing food and product ordering to minimize waste and optimize budgetary efficiency.
• Supervising all food preparation and presentation to meet quality and restaurant standards.
• Collaborating with the head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and quality standards.

• Formal culinary training and experience in a similar role within a high-quality restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage management.
• Able to work under pressure and self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload.

This is a permanent position with a salary of £18/hour moving to £19/hour after a 3-month probation period. We offer a competitive package that includes opportunities for growth and development.
