Television Licence Enforcement Officer

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door visits to properties where no TV licence is registered, engaging with customers to understand their reasons for not having a licence and making informed decisions on next steps.
- Accurately record visit details and complete daily timesheets via a handheld device, ensuring seamless data capture and analysis.
- Explain and sell the benefits of all licence payment schemes, leveraging excellent communication skills to secure payments and resolve customer queries.
- Take and accurately record payment details, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.
- Attend court when required to give evidence in prosecution cases, demonstrating expertise and professionalism in a high-pressure environment.
- Carry out work and attend meetings as directed by the Visiting Manager, fostering strong relationships and effective collaboration.
- Taking records of interviews under caution, adhering to procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Hold a full UK driving licence, enabling efficient travel to multiple locations on a daily basis.
- Be physically mobile, with the ability to visit various locations and conduct door-to-door visits.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written English language proficiency.
- Have similar previous experience advantageous, but not essential – diverse backgrounds and skills are valued, with a focus on excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
