About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in South Gloucestershire. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will provide tailored support to students with various special educational needs (SEN) in local primary and SEN schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver 1:1 and group support to students with diverse SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement individualized lessons that meet student needs.
  3. Maintain a positive classroom environment encouraging student confidence, social interaction, and active engagement.
  4. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and school SENCo.
  5. Support classroom activities ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • A genuine passion for supporting SEN students and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability when meeting student needs.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential if obtained classroom experience.
  • Flexibility in working schedule.
  • An enhanced DBS check required.

Salary: £20-25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
