Dietitian Opportunity for Growth in Community Nutrition
6 days ago
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join our Leicestershire Home Enteral Nutrition Service (HENS) team on a full or part-time permanent contract.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of adult patients receiving enteral nutrition in the community, including at home, daycare, and care homes.
Although the primary focus is adult specialities, there are strong links with the paediatric team.
This role would also suit a band 5 to 6 development opportunity if the preferred candidate is newly qualified or awaiting qualification. This would be achieved over an agreed time frame and completion of competency assessments.
We operate a proactive hands-on working style with enteral feeding tubes, equipping you to work collaboratively with patients, carers, and professionals.
You will also need excellent communication skills. Previous experience in clinical adults and/or home enteral nutrition is desired, however, if you can demonstrate an interest in adult home enteral nutrition but do not yet have the required experience, training and development opportunities or a development position can be agreed.
There may be the opportunity in the future to support the adult team with community balloon tube and/or Nasogastric tube changes if desired, after suitable training has been provided, but this is not an expectation of this role.
We offer competitive compensation with an estimated salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes continuing professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of adult patients receiving enteral nutrition in the community
- Work collaboratively with patients, carers, and professionals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and social services
- Participate in continuing professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Degree in Dietetics or related field
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in clinical adults and/or home enteral nutrition desirable
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation with an estimated salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 per annum
- Continuing professional development opportunities
- A supportive team environment with regular feedback and coaching
- An opportunity to make a positive impact on patient outcomes and quality of life
