Job Summary

The Highland Council is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead a sector skills project. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partner Skills Board and Workforce for the Future Portfolio lead(s) to deliver a range of project outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of sector skills intelligence and data, tailored to the Highland region.
  • Preparation and presentation of sector skills intelligence and data, accessible to various stakeholders.
  • Review of local sector skills provision and identification of new work-based learning pathways.
  • Engagement with sector representatives to gather critical insight and inform project outputs.

Project Outputs

The project will inform other workstream activities across the Workforce for the Future Portfolio, with a high level of inter-dependency between this sector skills project and success across the wider portfolio.

Seven Priority Sectors

The project will focus on the following seven priority sectors: Tourism, Health and Social Care, Construction, Energy/Green Jobs, Digital, Food and Aquaculture, and Arts and Culture.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar skills-related role within a complex Programme/Project.
  • Appropriate project management qualification or experience.
  • Evidence of higher education.
  • Evidence of a continuing commitment to personal development.
  • Ability to be flexible about travel for work and training purposes.
