We are seeking a highly skilled Private Client Tax Manager to join our team in Inverness. As a leading tax practice in Scotland, we provide tax advice to over 13,000 clients, helping them navigate complex and constantly changing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring a high-quality tax compliance service
- Supervise and manage the personal tax return process, billing, and WIP management
- Monitor the tax compliance position using tax administration software, keeping internal control records up to date and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures
- Mentor and train Tax Seniors and Assistants, delegating work as needed
- Liaise with the client service team and colleagues in other disciplines to provide a coordinated service to clients
- Maintain an up-to-date technical knowledge of business tax, personal tax, and capital taxes
- Support the firm's business development in the local area, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
- Good working knowledge of UK tax legislation
- Project and time management skills, with experience working to tight deadlines and budgets
- IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word
