Job Description

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to work as a specialist teaching assistant in primary and SEND schools. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of child mental health and be confident in supporting pupils with identified behaviour, SEMH, SEN including ASD needs.

As a member of the child's support team, you will work closely with the schools SENCO and senior management team, as well as outside agencies including therapists, healthcare professionals, and CAMHS. You will be trained in suitable interventions and approaches to support pupils with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils on a 1 to 1 and group basis during the school day
  • Work with pupils in the classroom, in specialist mentoring sessions, and during break times
  • Collaborate with the schools SENCO and senior management team to develop and implement support plans

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate degree
  • Passion for supporting children with SEND / SEMH needs
