Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduate
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychology graduate to work in primary schools across the region, providing vital support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN coordinators to create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing individual or group support for children with SEN
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Helping children build confidence and improve social skills
- Observing and tracking progress, reporting to SEN staff where needed
Requirements:
- A Psychology degree (or related field) with a good understanding of SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with children
- Previous experience with children (desirable but not essential)
