Our school serves an incredible community of nearly 200 pupils from Reception through Year 6, offering a supportive and enriching environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional development.

The school features state-of-the-art facilities, including extensive outdoor spaces, specialist rooms, and a heated swimming pool that our pupils enjoy as part of their well-rounded education. In addition to academic subjects, our adapted National Curriculum includes PE, Art, Music, and Life Skills, ensuring a broad and balanced educational experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons for small classes of 7 to 10 pupils in Year 2/3. The successful candidate will adapt the curriculum to meet the needs and learning styles of each child, fostering functional communication, life skills, and social skills in line with our focus on holistic development.

You will collaborate with support staff and other teachers to ensure each pupil receives consistent, individualised attention. You will implement EHCPs and monitor pupil progress, adjusting strategies to promote learning, independence, and confidence.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, with experience in primary or SEND education
  • Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs, ideally with knowledge of autism support strategies
  • Strong understanding of SEND teaching approaches, including behaviour management and communication support
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff, students, and families
  • Patient, empathetic, and creative approach to engage pupils and make learning accessible and enjoyable
Salary and Benefits
