Job Description

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting inspections of various building types and structures, and preparing detailed digital reports
  • Preparing specifications for remedial works, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Providing technical support for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, and storm damage
  • Completing site visits for residential and commercial building projects, utilizing digital technology to enhance efficiency
  • Delivering small to medium design projects, with a focus on structural integrity and safety
  • Delivering design calculations for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, impact, flooding, and storm damage
  • Reporting to the Managing Director and providing regular progress updates
  • Developing innovative ideas to contribute to the company's growth and success
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess:

  • A degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience in structural surveys of buildings
  • 2 years of post-graduate design experience
  • A solid understanding of building structures and materials, including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCad
  • Working towards chartership with a recognized professional body, such as MICE or MIStructE
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent work ethic, with a willingness to go above and beyond to support the company's growth
  • Passion for new technologies, progressive change, and continuous improvement
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a car for site visits
