About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our MINT team. As a key member of our integrated care team, you will work closely with colleagues from AWP, social care, GPs, and voluntary care staff to provide vital early support conversations with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Building trusting relationships with clients, demonstrating hope and courage to help maximise their independence; providing advocacy when needed. Completing individual assessments via initial support conversations to inform clients' recovery plan and direction of support. Supporting clients to use self-management tools such as a Wellness Recovery Action Plan. Being trained to use a range of skilled interventions and approaches, such as motivational interviewing, active listening, and solution-focused support. Helping clients navigate the system to find the support they need via voluntary sector organisations or referrals to statutory services like drug and alcohol support.
