Senior CPU Research Scientist

We are seeking an experienced CPU research scientist to join our team in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microarchitecture and memory systems, with expertise in research and development of novel CPU architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development of novel microarchitecture optimisation techniques
  • Prototype and test micro-optimisations using GEM5
  • Analyse and present the results of mobile system profiling
  • Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art technologies for improving mobile system energy efficiency
  • Collaborate with the team to publish papers in top-tier conferences

Requirements:

  • Masters/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering/Physics or similar
  • Deep knowledge of microarchitecture and memory systems
  • Experience with the GEM5 simulation framework
  • Expertise in C, C++, Python or similar scripting languages
  • Knowledge of Android / Linux Kernel
  • Experience in ARMv8/ARMv9
