Job Title: Structural Steel Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at Leonard Steel Limited, a leading structural steel company in Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing several large-scale projects nationwide, ensuring timely completion, quality, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise site foremen, steel erectors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Select and manage subcontractors, monitoring their progress and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Adhere to the highest levels of quality and health and safety, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Keep management updated on site progress and commercial issues, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure robust systems for site records, labor, plant, materials, and staff, supporting cost substantiation in case of changes or delays.
  • Prepare project final accounts and participate in site project meetings, discussing commercial matters and resolving issues.
  • Oversee 2-3 projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks under stringent time, quality, and budgetary constraints.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of site experience working with structural steel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external partners.
  • Driven and dynamic approach, with a focus on long-term career development.
  • Knowledge of construction software, such as StrucCad, Strumis, AutoCAD, or Tekla, is an advantage.
  • Previous contracts management experience, preferably in a steelwork fabricator and erector, is essential.
  • Experience in a wide variety of contracts, particularly high-rise industrial and commercial sector projects.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects under stringent time, quality, and budgetary constraints.
  • Competent working knowledge of MS Office and technical elements of structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Knowledge of ISO certification and CE Marking is a plus.
