About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our team at Holt Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our commercial vehicle maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of commercial vehicles, including HGVs, LGVs, and vans.
  • Diagnosis and Repairs: Diagnose and repair complex technical issues with commercial vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including vehicle histories and maintenance schedules.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, including regular updates on vehicle maintenance and repair status.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the maintenance team to achieve common goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Technician Qualification: Hold a recognized qualification in HGV maintenance and repair, such as a City & Guilds or IMI certification.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in HGV maintenance and repair, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Technical Skills: Possess advanced technical skills, including knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Adequate Equipment: Have access to adequate equipment and tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Team Player: Be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safety Awareness: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, with a focus on preventing accidents and injuries.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work varied shifts and respond to changing priorities.
