Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate access arrangements with tenants and their representatives to carry out inspections and produce reports with photographic evidence.
  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections to identify repairs, defects, and potential improvements, and prepare specifications and estimates as required.
  • Attend properties to conduct inspections and provide advice to tenants on health and housing issues, maintaining proper records of visits and inspection findings.
  • Work independently to manage a variable caseload related to disrepair and insurance.
  • Investigate, monitor, and manage works related to disrepair issues, structural repairs, and insurance works.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of building maintenance and experience of diverse issues affecting poor health in social housing.
  • Degree/HNC and/or membership of a recognized professional body or equivalent qualification and experience in legal disrepair.

Important Notes:

  • The successful candidate must be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
  • A basic DBS is required for this role.
