About the Role
Kent County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their North Kent Children In Care Service team. The successful candidate will be based at The Willows in Swanley and will support the Dartford and surrounding areas of Gravesham and Swale.
About the Area
The Children In Care Service covers the whole of North Kent, supporting a mix of urban and rural communities. The successful candidate will be required to work across the operational area of North Kent, travelling to various locations as needed.
About the Team
The North Kent Children In Care Service team is a supportive and established management team, with good quality supervision and excellent opportunities for professional development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop areas of specialist practice and bring their professional expertise to a range of cases, including complex cases.
About You
The successful candidate will be a professionally registered social worker with a degree in social work and a variety of post-qualification experience of working with children and families. They will have an in-depth understanding of legislative and policy frameworks and be willing to develop as a practitioner.

Requirements
The role requires the successful candidate to be mobile throughout a wide operational area, including travelling around the county of Kent and beyond to transport children and their belongings. The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments, and the role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
