About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Social Worker to join our Children and Families service in Devon. As an Advanced Social Worker, you will work with children and young people who have complex needs, including undertaking in-depth assessments and providing support to families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with children and young people who have complex needs, including undertaking in-depth assessments and providing support to families.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including teachers, health visitors, and police officers, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the child's needs.
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and skilled social worker who has a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people. You will have a social work qualification and registration with Social Work England, as well as experience working in a multi-agency environment. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to build effective relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
