Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals detained under Section 136 /135MHA (1983 as amended 2007).
Main Duties of the Job
- Deliver a patient-focused service, promoting optimum independence.
- Provide and receive routine information orally, in writing, or electronically to inform work colleagues, patients, clients, carers, the public, or other external contacts.
- Offer appropriate support and advice to patients and their carers.
- Enable patients to maintain and improve their independence by promoting involvement in therapeutic activity.
- Give physical health care and physical health checks as required or instructed, documenting the physical health checks on the early warning scoring system (MEWS), chart, and reporting changes to the nurse/healthcare professional in charge.
- Undertake day-to-day tasks as allocated by the Nurse/healthcare professional in Charge.
