Swimming Instructor Job Description

Nuffield Health Brentwood is seeking a qualified Swimming Instructor to deliver swimming lessons to individuals and groups. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive learning environment, engaging and motivating learners, and contributing to the growth of our aquatic programs.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals and groups, using a range of techniques and strategies to engage and motivate learners
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with swimmers, colleagues, and other stakeholders, to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge, and stay up-to-date with best practices in swimming instruction
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of aquatic programs and events, to meet the needs of our members and the community

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Swim England Level 2 or equivalent qualification in swimming instruction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to build strong relationships with swimmers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, to deliver high-quality swimming lessons and contribute to the growth of our aquatic programs
  • A passion for teaching and working with people of all ages and abilities, to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of up to £31,200 per year (pro rata), depending on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.
