SEN Teacher Assistant Role

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a talented and dedicated Psychology Graduate to join their team as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This role offers the ideal opportunity for aspiring SEND Teachers, Educational Psychologists, Child Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, and Occupational Psychologists to gain valuable experience in a mainstream Secondary school with high percentages of students with SEND and SEMH needs.
This SEN Teacher Assistant role will involve providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEND and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, aged between 11-16. The successful candidate will need to be a calm and patient individual with a passion for education and a belief that all children can succeed at school despite facing barriers.
The salary for this position is £95-£100 per day, equivalent to £480-£500 per week, paid on a weekly basis through PAYE. To be considered, applicants must have obtained at least a 2:1 degree classification in Psychology and demonstrate an impressive academic record at GCSE and A-Level.
The successful candidate will be based at a mainstream Secondary school in Sutton, where they will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with SEND and SEMH needs. This is a long-term contract until July 2025, with opportunities for permanent contracts commencing September 2025.
