Mechatronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at PragmatIC Semiconductor. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke test fixtures and rigs to meet the engineering requirements for our range of Flex ICs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build probe heads, jigs, and fixtures
- Troubleshoot faults on electromechanical fixtures
- Write SOPs and machine/process risk assessments
- Work with teams across Technology and Operations to understand their hardware needs and address them
Requirements:
- Confident user of CAD tools for mechanical design, such as Autodesk Inventor
- Confident user of PCB design tools, such as Altium or Eagle
- Good understanding of signal integrity, shielding, noise, and impedance matching
- Test probe fixtures design with pogo pins
- Electromechanical design experience, including magnetic actuators and sensors, optical scanners and sensors, and loadcells
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience in writing software for PLC control systems in Ladder Logic
- Python programming
- LabView
- Knowledge of reel-to-reel handling equipment, such as that used in RFID inlay manufacturing
