EV Powertrain Test Technician

As an Electric Vehicle (EV) Powertrain Test Technician, you will be responsible for the operation of multiple test rigs outside of normal office hours using defined test methods and scripts. This role requires installation and calibration of data acquisition systems, debugging and commissioning of complex electronic systems with high speed serial interfaces, and ensuring that the data generated is valid and in line with customer requirements.
About the Role
This is a rotating week shift-based position, with early shifts from 6am – 2pm and late shifts from 2pm – 10pm. You will be working in a highly motivated team and dynamic working environment, with opportunities for development and career growth within the Transportation Technologies division of Intertek.
Key Responsibilities
- Operation of multiple test rigs outside of normal office hours using defined test methods and scripts
- Installation and calibration of data acquisition systems
- Debugging and commissioning of complex electronic systems with high speed serial interfaces
- Ensuring that the data generated is valid and in line with customer requirements
- Liaising with colleagues, customers and suppliers in a professional manner
- Ensuring all instrumentation used is calibrated in line with company procedures
- Helping to implement and follow safe systems of work
