Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing and dressing, as needed.
  • Encourage and support the individual to make life choices and participate in social activities.
  • Support the individual to safeguard their property, health, and wellbeing, and take appropriate action in emergency situations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the individual's family, friends, and community, promoting their inclusion and participation.
  • Assist with domestic tasks, such as housework, shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Treat the individual with dignity and respect, recognising their rights to make their own choices.
  • Work collaboratively with the individual, their family, and other professionals to achieve their outcomes and goals.
