Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven professional to spearhead our efforts in increasing GP referrals, supporting the development of our growth strategy, and developing the internal Primary Care team.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience within the NHS, with deep knowledge of primary care, primary care networks, and ICBs. This role requires someone with strong relationships within primary care, a strategic mindset, and the ability to implement impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive the primary care referral strategy to increase GP referrals and strengthen partnerships within the healthcare sector.
  • Serve as the in-house primary care expert, ensuring all strategic initiatives align with best practices in primary care.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, primary care networks (PCNs), Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create, refine, and execute referral strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Create, monitor, and analyse referral data to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
  • Line management of the Partnership Manager and the Primary Care Account Management team to ensure smooth operational delivery of the strategy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve referral generation and patient pathways from primary care to our services.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in NHS policies, primary care networks, and referral guidelines to ensure the strategy remains relevant and compliant.
  • Travel regularly to deliver presentations at GP practices and industry events to promote our services and strengthen relationships.
  • Ensure all outreach efforts align with company goals and contribute to the growth of our strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Experience working within the NHS, particularly in primary care.
  • Strong existing relationships with GPs, PCNs, ICBs, and other primary care stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering referral strategies from primary care settings.
  • In-depth understanding of NHS primary care systems (EMIS/ERS), referral processes, and pathways.
  • Public speaking experience, including delivering presentations to healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with healthcare professionals to drive referrals and improve patient outcomes.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate healthcare trends into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and present at GP practices and industry events.
Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
