Barker Ross is seeking a talented and experienced Estimator with specialized knowledge in facades to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As an Estimator with facades experience, you will be responsible for accurately calculating the costs associated with facade projects, ensuring that they are competitive while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for facade projects, including materials, labour, and time requirements.
  • Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure best value for the company.
  • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
  • Provide value engineering solutions to meet client needs while maintaining project budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.
  • Monitor and update project costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator, specifically within the facades sector.
  • Strong knowledge of facade systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred, but not essential with relevant experience.
