Everlast has grown significantly over its 21-year history to become a leading Roofing Specialist in the Construction Industry.
We are currently looking for an individual who thrives in a busy, high-pressured environment. Ideally, you will be polite, friendly, organised, confident, have a great attention to detail and be willing to go that extra mile in the position of a **Facade Estimator. **The role is to support our Estimating Team, based at our Head Office in Leeds, LS10, however it may involves some travelling around the United Kingdom therefore a full UK Drivers Licence is essential.
**Responsibilities**
Taking ownership of tenders from receipt of enquiry through to submission and securing the project, which include:
- Review the enquiry to understand the risk and opportunities associated with the scheme prior to accepting or declining.
- Review all enquiry documents to fully understand the Employers Requirements.
- Strong awareness of time management
- Accurately measuring drawings.
- Liasing with supply chain (Sub-contractor and Suppliers) to ascertain correct project prices.
- Ensuring most competitive prices are received and incorporated within the submission.
- Understanding tender addendums.
- Creating accurate estimates using estimating software (Immortalis).
- Ensuring Façade estimates comply with Building Safety Act and insurance stipulations.
- Ability to write accurate bids.
- Ability to take “Ownership” tenders.
- Regular client liason.
**Key duties of the role, but not limited to**:
- Fully understand the Employers Requirement’s from the receipt of the enquiry documents.
- Ensure tender return dates are logged.
- Arrange the necessary site visits with clients and supply chain.
- Issue comprehensive sub-contract packages for quoting.
- Accurately take off drawings.
- Organized with document control and data.
- Issue material bills to procurement team for pricing on every scheme.
- Prepare internal take-off from measures.
- Prepare estimates within in-house software system (Immortalis).
- Clearly demonstrate the clarifications, inclusions and exclusions within the tender.
- Prepare tender/bid submissions within a timely manner ahead of the submission date.
- Communicate with client on status of tenders.
- Ensure tender submissions are accurate to the highest quality.
- Attend pre-tender meetings.
- Attend post-tender meetings.
- Liaise with Head of Estimating and the Client in regards to post tender negotiations.
- Produce cashflow forecasts from estimates.
- Ensure all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and present handover meetings to Commercial and Operational teams.
- Liaise with Commercial and Operational teams post tender.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s with at least Maths and English
**Desirable Qualifications**:
- Level 3 NVQ - Construction Contracting Operations
- Proof of Building Safety Act relating learning / CPD’s
**Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Previous estimating experience of at least 3 years within the construction industry and understanding of Fire Safety including the Building Safety Act and BSR changes.
- Proof of good technical knowledge within the façade industry (roofing, cladding, curtain walling, windows and doors, glazing, and rainscreen).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- IT literate Minimum; Microsoft Excel and Office.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness.
- Team player.
- Ambitious.
- Commercial knowledge such as; contractual (JCT), project risk awareness, financials generally.
- Literate in the use of Microsoft Project.
- Use of Bluebeam Revu software (or similar) for measuring PDF drawings.
- Previous use of SharePoint.
**Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
