About the Role

As a Site Ecologist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our contract and operational teams on-site. This will involve conducting ecological surveys, developing and implementing environmental management plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting ecological surveys and assessments to identify potential environmental impacts
  • Developing and implementing environmental management plans to mitigate these impacts
  • Providing expert advice and support to our contract and operational teams on-site
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Collaborating with other teams to develop and implement sustainable solutions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Expert knowledge of ecological management, mitigation, and legislation relevant to development
  • A degree or Masters level qualification in Ecology or a related subject
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of environmental management for construction sites
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Active membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
  • A full UK driver's license and willingness to travel
Desirable Qualities and Experience

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Holding at least one protected species survey licence
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure construction projects
