About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to join our team at a SEND school in Wakefield. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with a range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support school-aged pupils with additional needs, including ASD, PMLD, Complex needs, Mobility, SEMH, and MLD.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and thrive.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure seamless support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play, or care setting.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS registration and commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
