About the Role:

RPS Group is seeking a highly skilled Structural Investigation Engineer to join our Structures team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting structural investigations and reporting on a range of building structures from residential to commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural investigations and reporting on low-rise to medium-rise residential and commercial structures
  • Assist in the development of structural investigation services
  • Manage projects and project teams
  • Prepare fee quotations and invoices
  • Manage staff and other consultants
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients
  • Conduct site visits and undertake structural surveys, investigations, and repair schemes for structures from fires to foundation issues

Requirements:

  • Chartered status with ICE, IStructE, or equivalent
  • Experience in structural investigations and reporting
  • Experience in the identification, reporting, and repair of building defects
  • Experience in structural investigation and reporting in relation to building structural safety
  • Experience in the design of foundations, masonry, concrete, steel, and timber structures to Eurocodes
  • Experience in the residential market, including traditional construction and framed structures
  • Familiarity with Tekla software and AutoCAD/Revit
  • Previous management experience
