We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space Limited. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing high-performance communication payload equipment for our telecommunications satellites.
Your primary focus will be on designing analogue and power circuitry, including power interfaces, from specification to delivered hardware. You will work closely with our product responsible engineer and PCB layout engineers to ensure seamless integration and efficient design.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop analogue and power circuitry, including power interfaces, from specification to delivered hardware.
- Generate design concepts and detailed circuit design, component selection, simulation, and schematic capture of analogue and power circuits.
- Collaborate with the product responsible engineer and PCB layout engineers to ensure efficient design and integration.
- Develop documentation to support design, including Worst Case Analysis, Parts Stress Analysis, and FMECA.
- Experience in hardware design cycle, from requirements capture to design verification.
- Power electronic circuit design, including knowledge of active discreet protection circuits, magnetics, and DC-DC converters.
- Experience with Spice simulation software tools for detailed analysis.
