Job Title: Associate Breast CNS

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Associate Breast CNS to join our integrated breast team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our specialist service.

About the Role

The Associate Breast CNS will work closely with the Breast Care nursing team to develop, implement, and evaluate a seamless specialist service. This will involve providing expert clinical care to patients with breast cancer, from pre-diagnosis to follow-up and survivorship. You will also provide care to patients in the NHS breast screening programme and for those with metastatic disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and support sessions for the delivery of breaking bad news.
  • Explore and introduce innovative ways of working with the Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to continuously improve the care of cancer patients within the hospital and community.
  • Act as a key worker and advocate for patients, being the central point for patient contact throughout the cancer journey.
