Clinical Specialist in Head and Neck Rehabilitation

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will provide a specialist SLT service to patients with acquired dysphagia and communication impairments secondary to a diagnosis of Head & Neck cancer. This includes patients receiving outpatient radiotherapy/chemotherapy/immunotherapy with curative and palliative intent.
You will work closely with the Head & Neck Multidisciplinary Team members and have key worker responsibilities where required. Additionally, you will participate in delivering training to the Head & Neck Multidisciplinary Team, family, and carers.
The salary for this position is £51,883 - £58,544 per annum, inclusive of HCAs.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide highly specialist SLT assessment and treatment to patients with complex head and neck cancer/laryngectomy undergoing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy.
- To operate with a high level of autonomy in assessing and treating patients with acquired dysphagia and communication impairments.
- To liaise with the Head & Neck Multidisciplinary Team members and have key worker responsibilities where required.
- To participate in delivering training to the Head & Neck Multidisciplinary Team, family, and carers.
