Accounts Ledger Coordinator

The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee our sales and purchase ledger activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial records, including daily nominal ledger postings and payroll preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily nominal ledger, sales, and purchase ledger postings
- Submit and prepare PAYE payments, set up weekly and monthly payroll, and maintain holiday/sickness data
- Process bank transactions, petty cash, and transfers, regularly reconciling all bank and cash accounts
- Post monthly journals, submit VAT returns, and assist external accountants with year-end accounts
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role
- Able to use initiative and work independently
- Strong IT skills, proficiency in Word and Excel
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
