Finance Assistant

A dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant is required to join our team at Alexander Lloyd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve financial queries and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Assist with audits and prepare documentation for internal and external auditors, ensuring seamless compliance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance software, such as Sage or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • AAT qualification or working towards a professional qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA.
