Job Title: Warranty Adjudicator

ECS Automotive is seeking a skilled Warranty Adjudicator to join their team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing and adjudicating claims for the Volkswagen Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Desktop evaluation of warranty claims for financial and technical accuracy, repair quality, and compliance with factory requirements and published policies.
  • Inspection of parts to ensure a positive manufacturing defect can be identified and rectification work has been carried out correctly.
  • Monitoring and reporting claiming behaviours to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Engaging with the dealer network through various communication methods to resolve queries and problems efficiently.
  • Supporting Authorised Repairers to adopt optimal behaviours when presenting warranty claims and parts checking media.
  • Accurate updating of records and databases.
  • Working closely with stakeholders and management to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are clearly understood and achieved.
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of paint and body repair techniques.
  • Evaluating and adjusting network paint estimates.
  • Actively supporting the network and approved body shops to achieve fast and technically correct repairs.
  • Managing and authorising paint warranty reports to meet client KPIs.
  • Maintaining and developing expert knowledge of goodwill policies.
  • Reviewing and adjusting goodwill requests to ensure they match policy or individual authorities.
Requirements:
  • Manufacturer/Dealer Aftersales experience.
  • Motor vehicle technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
  • Appreciation of franchise and operating standards, warranty systems, policies, and procedures, dealer campaign and incentive programmes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and web-based products).
  • Ability to work without supervision, both part of a team and independently when required.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to targets and KPIs.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Automotive warranty specific experience at Dealer/Manufacturer level.
  • Motor industry specific qualifications (technical).
  • Previous automotive mechanical repairer experience.
  • Familiarity with faulty parts and assessment of.
