About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team in providing support to children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The successful candidate will work in one of our five residential homes located in Powys, supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in their lives.

About You:

  • You will have a strong ability to connect with young people and provide a safe and supportive environment.
  • You will be able to participate in and promote activities that foster learning, growth, and development.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • You will be committed to providing high-quality care and support, with a focus on promoting the well-being and dignity of the children and young people in our care.
  • You will be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the permanent team to deliver support to the children and young people.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment, promoting the well-being and dignity of the children and young people.
  • Participate in and promote activities that foster learning, growth, and development.
  • Work in partnership with families and carers to achieve the aims and objectives of the young people's plans.
  • Follow agreed policies, procedures, and legislative standards in your work.
