About the Job
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Didcot Community Hospital.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the monitoring and auditing of standards within the ward area.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and support ward staff in their day-to-day work and development, promoting interdisciplinary team working.
- Provide information, training, and support to promote effective patient care and discharge from the ward area.
- Lead Healthcare Assistants and peers to ensure a high standard of patient-centred care.
- Contribute to the monitoring and auditing of standards of care in the ward area under the direction of the Ward Manager.
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and share key issues with the ward team.
- Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.
- Work proactively as the ward and bed co-ordinator to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Be visible and accessible to patients, relatives, and colleagues to work effectively within the team.

You will be part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team that prioritizes rehabilitation and complex discharge management.
The team focuses on caring for patients with a wide range of conditions, including those from medical, trauma, renal, and surgical wards.
Every day, you will see a variety of specialisms that will allow you to utilise and grow your nursing skills.
The trust provides physical, mental health, and social care services across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath, and North East Somerset.
We deliver care in community bases, hospitals, clinics, and people's homes, aiming to provide care close to home.
