Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor, Occupational Therapy (Tenure Track)

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of New Hampshire. This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our occupational therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework in occupational therapy programs, with a teaching load expectation of 4 courses per academic year.
  • Conduct and disseminate research in an area that complements and expands existing expertise in the department.
  • Seek external funding to support research and contribute to the department's scholarly environment.
  • Participate in service activities within the department, university, community, and occupational therapy profession.
Requirements:
  • PhD or research doctorate in occupational therapy, occupational science, or a related field.
  • A defined program of scholarship supported by at least one refereed publication and others in process.
  • Past teaching experience and demonstration of teaching competence.
  • Eligibility for NBCOT certification and NH state OT license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Applicants with a strong foundation in occupational science and a defined research program that complements existing expertise in the department.
  • Candidates with clinical or research expertise in the area of adult mental health or geriatric care.
