About the Role

Alfa Laval Corporate AB is seeking a skilled Field Service Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of new and existing equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Performing electrical and mechanical fault-finding on our equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Conducting trial test runs to verify that equipment meets established specifications and performance rates.
  • Documenting equipment serviced, parts used, and travel/site hours to support customer invoicing and record-keeping.
  • Performing preventive mechanical maintenance service calls on customer equipment to prevent downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Providing training and assistance to customer maintenance and supervisory personnel on equipment operation and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Completed a recognized apprenticeship or minimum level of technical training in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Strong working background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience in separation equipment an advantage.
  • Desirable skills include experience working on automated production lines, generators, compressors, and pumps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good organization and planning abilities.
  • Ability to spend several nights away from home as required, with a valid full driving license.
  • Proficiency in using laptops and PC-based technologies, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
