About the Role

GKN Aerospace is seeking a skilled Category Procurement Manager to join our team. As a Category Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies that leverage GKN Aerospace's spend to deliver significant annual improvements in cost and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commodity strategies that align with GKN Aerospace's strategic goals.
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholder teams to identify business needs and implement contracts that support business requirements.
  • Function as a trusted business partner supporting Category's internal customers to fulfil their strategic requirements (cost, performance, quality, sustainability).
  • Accountable for delivery of the targeted savings by business line and/or central function identified to improve bottom line profitability of GKN Aerospace.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to steer the long-term direction of Professional Services procurement and category management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement activities within commodities of responsibility (o.a. finance, legal, auditing, accountancy, engineering consultancy).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply markets for relevant commodities.
  • Proven leadership skills; especially influencing skills.
