Fire and Security Systems Technician Apprenticeship

Scutum Group, a leading provider of fire and security solutions, is seeking high-quality apprentices to join their team as Fire and Security Systems Technicians. This 36-month apprenticeship program will provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a fully trained engineer in fire, emergency, and security systems.

About the Role

As a Fire and Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire and security systems, including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in electrical and electronic principles, system technologies, and health and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain fire and security systems, including CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems
  • Work with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in electrical and electronic principles, system technologies, and health and safety practices
  • Conduct site visits to assess and repair fire and security systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of fire and security solutions
Requirements
  • Full UK driving license and use of own insured car (company vehicle provided during year 2)
  • Pass at GCSE Maths and English (C/L4 equivalent or above)
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Evidence of technical skills
  • Experience with electrics and/or power tools a bonus
Training and Development

As a Fire and Security Systems Technician, you will receive comprehensive training and development opportunities, including:
