Job Title: Event Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced Event Production Manager to oversee all aspects of the production process, both in the workshop and with external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage complex programs of works and install schedules
  • Project accounting, including budget control and reporting
  • Produce quotes, respond to tenders, and negotiate prices to ensure value for money
  • Purchase equipment and materials as agreed with the MD
  • Liaise with the workshop, suppliers, and project and senior management team to deliver projects
  • Site management and coordination of suppliers, freelancers, sub-contractors, event staff, and colleagues
  • Develop and maintain sub-contractor and supplier relationships
  • Nurture, retain, and grow our workforce pool
  • Recruit, train, and line manage staff and sub-contractors
  • Source, select, and order bespoke materials and manage stocks
  • Prepare H&S documentation
  • Manage and mitigate risks, including completion of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
  • Produce job briefs and site packs for sub-contractors and colleagues
  • Attend site meetings and installs as needed
  • Reporting, including maintaining statistical data, KPIs, project management tools, procedures, databases, documents, processes, templates, and databases
  • Carry out surveys and present measurements and details using specialist software
Person Specification:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/clients/sites simultaneously
  • Gravitas to manage on-site teams, suppliers, and clients
  • Ability to foresee potential issues and solve problems on a daily basis
  • Bespoke production experience - Windows, pop-ups, events, and exhibitions
  • Experience in on-site health and safety and risk assessments
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in relation to managing sub-contractors and multiple, global clients
  • IT skills and an understanding of technical plans/drawings
  • Proactive and positive outlook and attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role and within the same field
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to work with people at different levels of seniority from various organisations
  • Good level of Maths and English
  • Ability to define and follow procedures and policies
  • Keen to learn and develop
