Fernbank Healthcare is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, and we are seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a temporary contract with the possibility of an extension until March 2025.



Duties and Responsibilities

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with a range of conditions, from minor illnesses to long-term health issues. This will involve:





  • Developing treatment plans and implementing interventions to improve patient outcomes

  • Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, incorporating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches into patient care plans

  • Prescribing medications in accordance with evidence-based practice and national guidelines, taking into account patient needs and preferences

  • Providing patient support and education to promote adherence to treatment plans and healthy lifestyle choices

  • Prioritizing patient health needs and intervening in urgent or emergency situations, including the initiation of emergency care

  • Empowering patients to adopt health promotion strategies and make informed decisions about their care



Experience working within a General Practice setting is highly desirable.



What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, reflecting the skills and experience required for this role, which is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and background.
