About the Role

The SENCO and Assistant Headteacher will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape at Brinksway School, a Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs School for pupils with Autism. As a seasoned leader with a strong background in special educational needs, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the school's ethos, values, and overall purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies to implement the SEN policy and provision.
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.

Requirements

  • SENCO qualification
  • Experience as a middle leader aspiring to senior leadership with expertise in special educational needs.
