Job Title: Special Education Needs Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Needs Coordinator to join our team at Teaching Personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the school's provision for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and will work closely with the SENDCo to ensure that all pupils receive the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor School and Education Health Care Plans/Statements
  • Support the inclusion of all pupils across the school
  • Identify and adopt effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with SEND
  • Meet individual pupils' SEND needs
  • Evaluate assessment data and discuss next steps with the SENDCo
  • Ensure all staff understand access arrangements for SEND and coordinate the process

Requirements:

  • Honours degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Enthusiastic and excellent classroom practitioner
  • Teaching all aspects of a Curriculum area across the full age/ability range
